JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks rose in todays midday trading motored by finance and trade and service companies.The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) advanced 0.63%, or 26.07 points, to 4,158.85. JCI moved within range of 4,125.96-4,163.54. About one share gained for every one share that fell, whilst more than a half of the shares remained unchanged.The increase in JCI was led by PT United Tractors Tbk which contributed 5.88 points to the index, PT Astra International Tbk 5.44 points, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk 4.85 points and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk 4.28 points.Stocks that hampered the movement of JCI were PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk with had minus 1.03 points, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk with minus 0.71 point, PT Harum Energy Tbk with minus 0.63 point and PT Indika Energy Tbk with minus 0.61 point.Bisnis-27 Index gained 1.02% or 3.67 points to 362.57. The stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia moved within range of 358.21-363.41.From regional market, Nikkei 225 declined 0.58% to 10,041.30, Hang Seng decreased 0.07% to 22,557.23, Shanghai SE increased 0.06% to 2,704.72, Kospi rose 0.22% to 2,165.39 and Straits Times declined 0.13% to 3,182.40.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index decreased 0.01% to 890.65.The rupiah traded rose 0.25% against the US dollar at IDR8,486.
