JAKARTA: A retail player PT Hero Supermarket Tbk rose the most in three months or 9.43% to IDR5,800 on 11.54 a.m. local time as the company said its sale will exceed IDR8 trillion this year.The company plans to open new outlets, making its total outlet to 500 outlets across Indonesia. The establishment of the new outlets is part of modern markets expansion to any areas outside Jakarta, said Hero Human Resources Director Yudhi Komarudin.Hero will continue to hold expansion in the future. This year, Hero plans to construct 15 Giant Supermarket outlets and three Giant Hypermarket outlets. The retailer still search for strategic location to construct those outlets.Besides constructing jumbo outlets, Hero will operate new smaller outlets such as Hero Supermaket, Guardian and Starmart.Heros net income to reach IDR55.5 billion in the first quarter of 2011, soared by 26.5% compared to the same period in the earlier year.Such profit jump was attributed by rising sale and cost efficiency. Hero sale was IDR1.96 trillion as per March 2011 or rose by 12.5% from 2010. (msw)
