JAKARTA: Commercial car sales keeps growing to reach 21,200 units in May, compared to 20,481 in the previous month following the growth in transportation sector.Head of Association of Indonesian Automotive Industry Yohannes Nangoi said that commercial car demand keeps growing as great expansion in transportation sector, both for public transportation and goods transportation.According to him, commercial car market has a potency to grow more aggressive following the significant growth in mining and agroindustry which needs operational transportation to support commodity distribution.Actually, the growth of commercial car market is following the activities in business sector, such as mining and agroindustry in this year which considered conducive especially in public and commodity transportation, he said to Bisnis.Yohannes said that car sales is also absorbed by public transportation which is going strong following the growth in land transportation.Yohannes who is also responsible as President Director of PT Isuzu Astra Indonesia targeted the companys sales in Juni will be 2,100 units or higher than last month which fell to 1,908 unit, particularly for natonal commercial car market.The commercial car market contributed 1,239 units of the total sales. For July, the sales figure will reach to 2,500 units. (t03/msw)
